Teirusu Reynard One of the many, MANY projects of DMT Tapes, and I love this one. Sim City was a game series I put probably literal thousands of hours into. This collection really pulls at me, nostalgically, and the mixing on High Population Density, in particular, really just feels like a perfect driving song. Favorite track: High Population Density.

vaporboio Feel like I'm reliving does days where all I did was play SimCity on my brother's old SNES, in the garage ,eating little Ceasers pizza and drinking pepsi on a beautiful sunny day, while all the other neighborhood kids play ball, hang out with each other enjoying themselves. While I was alone in that garage playing SNES, as they ignored me. Yeah I was a lonely kid. :( Favorite track: Restricted Building Permit.

A new mayor has taken over Pacific Plaza and this scion of vaporwave, SimTycoon℠ (aka Vito of DMT Tapes FL) brings his aural vision of creation and destruction to this simulated reality.

In this new release, you can hear the birth and death of the metropolis- crumbling under static fuzz and echoing samples from an era gone by. The harshness of city life and the promises of civilization melt your ears for 15 short minutes of lo-fi plunderphonics and vaporfuzz in the classic eccojams style.

From the man himself: "One of the first genres of gameplay I was ever introduced to came courtesy of Maxis Software: the builder simulator. Usually suffixed with a Tycoon or prefixed with a Sim, these games were some of the most interesting yields of creativity that I remember from my childhood. Experienced largely in my life between 1998-2003, but avidly revisited across the '00s and '10s by me as a source of nostalgia, this release is my crowning testament of expression towards how it felt to zone out, take pride, and lose yourself in your own virtual creations."
